Stories on textile meet stories through dance
When we design something we often have a persona in mind and Rukmini Vijayakumar fitted it perfectly. It was as if she came alive from our sketch book .Ā
Our designs are all about narrating stories through textile and when she , (an international famous Bharatnatyam dancer reached out to us) , saying how much she loves our work, we were thrilled !
Our "Bansuri set" dupatta + anarkali dress was just so apt for her , as she often depictsĀ lord Krishna through her dance and for her to be adorning our Radha-Krishna done in Kalamkari style, kind of completed the circle .Ā
The universe has its ways of working.Ā
